Forward Space, NYC

October 2017 - November 2018

Project Team: 2

Responsibility: Concept to Construction Admin.

Forward Space prototype design was birthed from the client’s desire to blend the Bowery’s former experimental music scene with a minimalism you would normally find in a high end art gallery.  You are drawn into the space with floor to ceiling operable glass windows and scents of Palo Santo.  Despite the 1,300 sq ft floor plate, there are many areas to explore and relax just before hitting the dance studio.  Inspiration for the studio was driven from the NYC’s early 90’s club culture from the heart awakening speaker system to the wall to wall mirrors and linear tube lighting that seemingly grooves with the music.
